Our Mission:

To offer all students the opportunity to challenge themselves in all types of math concepts by providing additional learning activities.​

Our Vision:

To give students of all ability levels a chance to extend themselves beyond the mathematics curriculum and become more confident in math.  Superstar Math is a wonderful mathematics and problem-solving enrichment program for students in grades K-5. All students are welcome to join the program. Participation, however, is voluntary. 

​How does it work?

Students download worksheets each week.  Complete the Problems on the worksheet and return the worksheets by the end of the week (see posted dates). Each problem is ranked according to its level of difficulty (H-HHHH). Volunteers will check the worksheets and they will be returned to the student.

Parents role in Superstar Math is to  encourage and facilitate your child's problem solving skills. Feel free to suggest a strategy for solving the problem, offer counters or manipulatives, or listen as your child shares her or his thinking, but please DO NOT GIVE THE ANSWERS.  It is normal for a child NOT to be able to complete every problem on a worksheet. Remind your child that he or she is not expected to know the answer to every problem and that this is a voluntary program. THANK YOU FOR ENCOURAGING YOUR CHILD TO EMBARK ON THIS MATHEMATICAL ADVENTURE!



 

Students in kindergarten who complete a total of 8 out of 10 assignments and 

students in grades 1-5 who complete a total of 20 out of 25 assignments will be

Math Superstars!

and will be invited to an End of the Year Celebration.

Directions for Superstar Math: 

     1. Follow the drop down tabs under "Superstar Math" and click on your grade level worksheets.

     2. Print the worksheet for the week assigned, complete the problems, and return the worksheets to your classroom teacher by the end of the week (see posted dates). 

     3. Volunteers will check the worksheets and they will be returned to you with a star or a re-challenge.
